SELF DOUBT has stemmed from my own personal experiences with self-doubt, which at one point made me consider my position within mainstream art education, and the art world more generally – ultimately feeling like I did not belong. Research has allowed me to see the real scope the issue of self-doubt has within the creative section, but also more generally within society. Posing a problem to those at the very beginning of their careers, yet also affecting well-known figures who have experienced long and successful careers. As a result of these shared affinities with so many others worldwide, SELF DOUBT the brand has come to existence – a line of merchandise that offers the consumer small, affordable, and collectable pieces of art that forces us to actively challenge the self-doubt we are all too familiar with.

This project was a turning point in my practice, and was recognised as such when I was invited to exhibit at the Venice Biennale 2019, WORD OF MOUTH projectt, curated by Peter Hill. Imagery on one of my pieces features in Frieze, Art monthly London and Art Monthly Australasia magazine.
